How Much Do Custom Stickers Cost — and How Should You Price Yours?
Rafik FaragTwo different people search "sticker pricing". One wants to buy stickers and wants to know what they cost. The other sells stickers and wants to know what to charge. This page answers both, with our real prices, because the second question can't be answered without the first — and because the single biggest lever in a seller's price is a decision most people make wrong on their very first order.
This is our opinion, from a printer's side of the counter. We print for a few thousand sticker sellers a year in North York, Toronto. The prices below are ours, read from our own product pages on September 6–7, 2026, in Canadian dollars before tax; they change, so the product page is the source of truth. Everything about your costs, your platform and your market is an estimate to check for yourself.
How much do custom stickers cost?
Three things set the price: size, quantity, and — far less than people expect — the finish. Here are our die cut stickers, custom shape, gloss laminate:

Read the "each" columns and two things jump out. Doubling the size roughly doubles the price. And going from 50 to 500 of the same sticker cuts the per-piece price by two-thirds. Those two facts are the whole pricing game for a seller, and they're why the next section matters more than any table.
Shipping is free over $100 to Canada and the US (US tariffs, if any, are charged on delivery), every order gets a PDF proof before it prints, and there's no minimum — the presets start at 50, but Custom Quantity on the product page takes any number.
The real money saver: four designs in one order
Look at the 2" column again. A new seller with four designs usually orders each one separately at 50. That's four orders of $54.51 — $218.04 for 200 stickers, $1.09 apiece — because every design is sitting at the top of the price curve.
We let you put up to four artwork files in one order. You buy one quantity and tell us how to split it in the special instructions at checkout — 100 / 75 / 50 / 25, or whatever you like; it doesn't have to be even. One 250-piece order split four ways is $157.99: 63 cents a sticker, 42% less than the four separate orders, and you get 50 more stickers for $60 less money. Do it at the next tier and it's starker: four separate 100s cost $291.68 for 400 stickers; one 500 split four ways is $170.14 — 34 cents each, 53% less. Mixed sizes work too: the order is priced at the largest size, and you note the others in the same box.
This is the number to build your prices on. If your cost per sticker is 63 cents instead of $1.09, every retail price in the tables below carries roughly 45 cents more margin — on a $4 sticker, that's the difference between a shop that pays for its packaging and one that doesn't.

How to price stickers to sell
Work from cost upward, not from what the shop next to you charges. Four numbers:
- Print cost per sticker. From the tables — and use the split-4 figure, not the 50-piece one.
- Packaging per order. A rigid mailer, a backing card if you use one, a thank-you slip. Buy in 100s; budget it per order, not per sticker, because a three-pack ships in the same mailer as a single.
- Postage per order. Letter mail if the package stays flat and thin. If you charge the buyer for shipping, remember a marketplace takes its percentage on that charge too.
- Platform fees. On Etsy, roughly 18% of the order total for a Canadian or US seller with no Offsite Ads sale (we worked the whole stack in our Etsy post); on your own Shopify store, about 8% in card fees plus the monthly plan.
Then what's left is your margin. Here's a 2" die cut printed at the split-4 price of 63 cents, packaging at 30 cents per order, on a marketplace taking 18%, with the buyer's shipping charge covering the stamp:

The percentages look similar across the rows; the dollars don't. A $3 single earns you a dollar and a half for the same envelope, the same stamp and the same walk to the mailbox as a $10 pack that earns six. That is why every experienced sticker seller pushes packs and sheets, and it's the honest answer to "how much should I charge": charge what your niche will bear for a single, and make sure most orders aren't singles.
Now redo the first row with the 50-piece print cost of $1.09 instead of 63 cents: you keep $1.07 on a $3 sticker, 36%. Same sticker, same buyer, same fees — a third of the margin gone because of how the print order was placed.
How should you price for wholesale or markets?
If a shop asks to stock your stickers, the common rule of thumb is that they'll want to double your wholesale price at retail. So a sticker that retails at $4 wholesales at about $2, and your print cost has to sit comfortably under that — which, at 63 cents, it does, and at $1.09 it barely does. Print at the split-4 price before you say yes to a wholesale order, not after.
At an in-person market there are no platform fees, so the $4 single keeps about $3.07 after print and packaging. Markets are also where pricing gets tested honestly: a design that people pick up and put down at $5 and buy at $4 has just told you its price.
Pricing mistakes we see on incoming orders
- Pricing off the 50-piece cost. The most common one. The seller sets retail from a $1.09 print cost, then never revisits it after the reorder at 34 cents — leaving money on the table for months.
- Ordering each design separately. See above. It's the same mistake from the other side.
- Charging for shipping and forgetting the platform takes a cut of it. A $1.50 shipping charge on Etsy nets you about $1.36 after the 6.5% transaction fee and processing.
- Not pricing the sheet against the single. If a sheet of eight is $9 and a single is $4, buyers do the maths for you and choose the sheet. If the sheet is $18, they buy one single and leave.
- Counting your time as free. If you hand-cut, the evening is a cost. If you outsource, the hours go into the listings, the photos and the social posts that bring the next order — we've written out where that crossover is.
