Custom Kiss Cut Stickers — Die Cut Stickers With a 0.25" Easy-Peel Edge, Printed in Toronto

A kiss cut sticker is our die cut sticker with one thing added: a 0.25" edge of backing paper around it. The vinyl is still cut exactly to your artwork; the backing isn't. So instead of hunting for the edge of a 2" sticker with a fingernail, you pick it up by the edge, bend it, and the sticker lifts. That's the whole difference. Same waterproof vinyl, same gloss or matte laminate, same cut shapes, same sizes, same price — we print them at our shop in North York, Toronto, and we charge for the sticker, not the edge.

Kiss cut vs die cut

The names describe how deep the blade goes. A die cut goes through the vinyl and the backing, so you get a sticker-shaped piece and nothing else. A kiss cut goes through the vinyl only and stops at the backing — it "kisses" it — so the sticker sits on a piece of backing that's bigger than it is. Ours comes on a rectangle of backing by default, 0.25" beyond the sticker on each side. If you'd rather the backing follow the shape of the artwork with the same margin, say so in the order notes and we'll cut it that way.

When to choose kiss cut

Two situations. You're going to apply the stickers by hand yourself — a few hundred onto packaging, product boxes, bags, envelopes — and the edge saves you a second on every one, which adds up fast. Or your customers are going to apply them, quickly, at an event: a sticker handed out at a booth that goes onto a phone or a laptop on the spot needs to peel on the first try. If neither of those is you, order die cut; it's the same sticker without the edge.

What you're getting

The same product as our die cut stickers, edge aside. Waterproof white vinyl with a scratch-resistant laminate over the print, gloss or matte. The ink sits under the laminate, so it doesn't scuff or fade the way an unlaminated print does. Rated for 3–5 years outdoors in all weather, and dishwasher safe. Matte is ordered more often; gloss makes colours pop. Same price either way.

Sizes, shapes and price

Presets at 2" × 2", 3" × 3" and 4" × 4", or enter your own size. Cut to the artwork's outline, rounded corners, oval/round, or rectangle/square. The size you enter is the sticker; the 0.25" edge is on top of that and free. Price is identical to die cut. Live prices as of September 30, 2026, before tax:

Four designs, one order

Upload up to 4 artwork files in a single order and split the quantity between them any way you like. Mixed sizes are fine; the order is priced at the largest size in the batch. Four product-line stickers for the same packaging run go in as one order at the 250 price instead of four at the 50 price.

Kiss cut stickers or sticker sheets?

This page is for individual stickers, each on its own piece of backing. If you want many stickers on one sheet — a set of six designs on an 8.5" × 11" page, say, to sell as a sheet or hand out as one piece — that's our sticker sheets product. The stickers on a sheet are kiss cut too, which is why the two get confused; the difference is whether you want them separated or together.

Ordering

Upload a PNG, PDF, AI, EPS, SVG or PSD — a 300 DPI PNG with a transparent background works for most people, and vector files are best for logos. Pick a size, quantity, cut and finish, and check out. You get a digital proof, usually within 24 hours, showing the exact cut line and the edge; if something's off, we revise it at no charge. Approve it and production takes 1–3 business days, then the stickers ship or are ready for pickup.

Questions we get

What is a kiss cut sticker? A sticker where the cut goes through the vinyl but not the backing, so the sticker sits on a piece of backing larger than itself. Ours has a 0.25" edge.

Is kiss cut more expensive than die cut? No. Same price. You pay for the sticker size, not the edge.

Does the sticker itself have a white border? No. The vinyl is cut to your artwork. The edge is backing paper and stays behind when you peel.

Can the backing be cut to the shape instead of a rectangle? Yes. Rectangle is the default; ask for a shaped backing in the order notes.

Are kiss cut stickers waterproof? Yes. Same vinyl and laminate as our die cut stickers: rain, sun, dishwasher, 3–5 years outdoors.

Which should I order, kiss cut or die cut? Kiss cut if you'll be applying them by hand in quantity, or handing them to people to apply on the spot. Otherwise die cut.

Is there a minimum order? No. Choose Custom Quantity and enter the number you need.

Do you ship to the United States? Yes — free shipping on orders over $100. Any US tariffs are charged on delivery and are the buyer's responsibility.
